- 2 lbs. halibut steaks, fresh or frozen
- 1 c. French dressing
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 (3 1/2 oz.) can French fried onions
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Thaw frozen fish steaks. Cut into serving size portions and place in shallow baking dish. Combine dressing, lemon juice and salt, and pour over fish. Let stand for 30 minutes, turning once.
Remove fish from sauce and place in well greased 12x8x2 inch baking dish. Crush onions, add cheese, and mix thoroughly. Sprinkle onion and cheese over fish. Bake at 350 degrees 25 to 30 minutes, or until flaky. Serves 4 to 6.
